Ferial has spent over 20 years in La Dauphine, a secluded Provençal estate nestled on a plateau in the Southern Alps, where she lives with her partner Philippe and their three sons. Born to a German mother and a Palestinian father, Ferial is haunted by a mysterious dream she had while growing up in Jordan. In this dream, she was alone on a remote island, adrift in the vast ocean. On this island stood a solitary blue tree, with three blue birds perched upon its branches, a vision that has lingered in her mind ever since. As she navigates life in this remote corner of France, Ferial begins to see echoes of her dream in the world around her, questioning whether it was a prophecy of her future or a reflection of her past.

Ferial vit à La Dauphine, une vieille campagne provençale située sur les contreforts des Alpes, avec Philippe et leurs trois fils depuis plus de 20 ans. Fille d’une allemande et d’un palestinien, néee en Jordanie, Ferial voit dans ce lieu qu’elle habite aujourd’hui, la rélisation d’un rêve étrange qu’elle fit lorsqu’elle vivait encore en Jordanie chez ses parents il y a de nombreuses années. Dans ce rêve Ferial se retrouvait isolée sur une petite île perdue au milieu de l’océan. Sur cette île se trouvait un arbre bleu sur lequel étaient perchés trois oiseaux bleus. Elle n’oublia jamais ce rêve.
